Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
-
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
-
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should still have lumps.
-
Once the waffle iron is heated, pour the batter onto the center of the iron, spreading it towards the edges but leaving a little space for expansion.
-
Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, about 4-6 minutes, depending on your waffle iron.
-
Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
